The lounge with the wood burning stove was cosy and welcoming - perfect for relaxing with the kids. the Crows Nest building had modern and streamlined accommodations. the bathroom facilities were excellent. the main building had quirky decor with great attention to detail.

The car park is located half a mile away and requires a steep walk up the hill.

Get ready to hike down a steep hill from where you leave the car, the long distance Cleveland Way footpath is right there. the bunk rooms with shared facilities are spotless, breakfasts are outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Secure bike storage, good beer, and freshly made coffee are just a few of the facilities that catered to our needs.

Some areas of the hotel can be a bit noisy, but nothing that impacts the serene surroundings.

The location of this hotel is exceptional. Just a short walk from the beautiful Robin Hood's Bay, it offers stunning views and easy access to the beach. We loved taking leisurely strolls along the beach and cliffs, exploring the picturesque surroundings. It was also a convenient 10-minute drive to Whitby, where we enjoyed visiting its historic Abbey, church, pier, and indulging in some famous Fortune's kippers.

The only minor issue we encountered was the difficulty in regulating the heat in the room. The temperature seemed a little too warm, and we struggled to find the right balance.
